This year, our calendar highlights the International Year of Biodiversity and the importance of protecting wildlife habitats and places where wildlife feed, seek shelter and raise their young.The United Nations proclaimed 2010 the “International Year of Biodiversity” as a reminder of efforts deployed to curtail the loss of biological diversity currently being witnessed.
The disappearance of wildlife habitats is one of the leading causes of decline in biodiversity. This is why, since 1987, the Fondation de la faune du Québec has worked untiringly to protect the habitats of wildlife living in Quebec.
